John has worked in online education for more than six years. He has made lifelong friends by helping people find the right online programme for their career aspirations.
Now working as part of the Student Support team for Roehampton Online, John is able to see at first hand how Roehampton’s unique learning model takes the community aspect of studying online to the next level.
Through his daily calls and emails with students, John offers all types of advice and encouragement to students facing challenges, but he isn’t the only person who can provide students with sound advice.
Unlike most online masters programmes, Roehampton offers a shared social space – Inspirenet – in addition to the traditional online classroom. This means students are able to create their own discussion forums and groups independent of what’s going on in class.
By joining these groups, posting in discussions and reaching out to one another, Roehampton Online students benefit from a sense of camaraderie as they help each other by sharing their professional and academic experiences.
Having supported Roehampton students all the way through their programme to graduation and seen how many have become friends with people around the world, John isn’t at all surprised to see Roehampton Online graduates accessing Inspirenet to catch up with one another, and pass on tips to new students.
At Roehampton Online, be inspired as you connect with people from around the world.
