Roehampton, London - 22 February 2017 - Graduands from the University of Roehampton, London Online programmes celebrated their graduation during ceremonies and events held at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 23 January 2017.
Joining the growing Roehampton alumni community – a global network of around 75,000 graduates of Roehampton and its four colleges – the graduates earned degrees from the online MBA, MSc in Project Management and MSc in Information Systems Management programmes. The ceremony included Roehampton's first graduate of its online MSc in Strategic Human Resource Management programme.
“The University of Roehampton has a proud history of expanding access to higher education, not only in the UK, but throughout the world. We are honoured that some of our online graduates and their families joined us in the celebration on campus, where they had the opportunity to meet and network with their colleagues and academic staff,” said Professor Paul O’Prey CBE, Vice-Chancellor of the University. “A Roehampton degree provides them with the experience and skills to begin the next exciting stage in their lives.”
Online graduates had the option to attend the ceremony in person and graduate with the University’s campus-based students at the Royal Festival Hall, in the heart of London’s Southbank arts and cultural quarter.
“The in-depth knowledge gained from my online MBA programme with the University of Roehampton gave me more confidence to apply the principles I learned and address professional challenges in my day-to-day career activities,” said Parthiban Devanathan, a native of India who lives and works in the UK. “My MBA will enhance my opportunities to contribute to my organisation.”
