Dr Nathanson is one of the founding faculty members of the University of Roehampton, London Online. He has been teaching online and in traditional graduate and undergraduate programmes since 2001 at several universities in North America, including the University of San Francisco and California State University East Bay. In addition, he is a visiting lecturer in China and Vietnam in partnership with Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Benedictine University.
He has worked in various senior management positions in US Fortune 500 companies for more than 25 years. Dr Nathanson has written and published five books on work and mid-life development and management, including The Best Manager: Getting Better Results Through People. His newest book, Joyful Work in the Second Half of Life: The Five Stages, published in 2013, highlights 20 years of research in the intersection of work and mid-life.
Dr Nathanson is also a motivational speaker, vocational coach for mid-life adults, executive coach, and organizational consultant working with companies on the development of their organizations and people. Dr Nathanson developed and leads two thriving online communities at thevocationalcoach.com and thebestmanager.com. He received the 2012 Faculty of the Year Award from the University of Liverpool Online for teaching excellence in the management programmes.
